The Perfect Day

Alarm going off to intricately designed music, waking before the sun with excitement in the air. Racing around the house to get the car packed all while anticipation builds in your senses. Riding in the dark with the crisp chill of the early morning on your skin. Getting to the crest of a mountain just as the sun rises to greet the day...a day of a canoe ride, a picnic, light shopping and icecream cones.

I've learned that even the ideal days would be amiss without dropping a glob of chocolate icecream down your favorite shirt. hahaha. "Perfection" or beauty, or simplicity are not of the same meaning but have a correlation in my mind. The perfect day is taking the things that don't go your way and making something good out of them. The simpler, the better. A day in the mountains, a dream worth pursuing, a family full of love; whatever it is, wherever you are, see your day and find the little things that you take forgranted. And then appreciate them.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11
