No good thing...He will withhold no good thing. That's the promise that keeps me going. I have played and replayed Sara Groves' "Open My Hands" this morning. It's been a Sara Groves playlist kind of day, actually. Pinterest and pinning all of the places I'd like to go serves as some sort of escape from where I'm at. I have been praying that the Lord would use me where I am and help me be content, reminding myself of 1 Timothy 6:6 (Godliness with contentment is great gain.) But today my prayer has been that the Lord would deliver me and my family from our Egypt. Sound dramatic? Perhaps. Does it seem that bad? Yes.
That feeling that comes when you try to make a season in life last longer than it's supposed to...that's what it feels like. Nothing fits like it used to. Church isn't the right fit, this house isn't the right fit. Even the cars we own just don't seem right. Our jobs don't fit our passions and life is just over and over doing the same tired, routine.
The only saving grace is my relationship with the Lord that is constantly changing and growing. God is good and I go back to my opening statement...no good thing. He will withhold no good thing. So where we are must be good for us. Or maybe its just the grace lifting to prepare us for the next season.
